Computers, printing, and photocopying

Computers & Internet

Computers will be available to patrons on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge for use of the computer facilities. In order to make the service available to as many patrons as possible, a time limit on the use of computers may be imposed.
Library staff is available for general assistance in using the computers. Staff is not expected to train patrons in the use of specific application programs.
Staff and volunteers may assist patrons in initially signing onto the workstation and/or internet. Staff may provide instructions on computer use as time permits, but trained staff is not always available to help.
Patrons may only use software provided by the library and are not permitted to use their own software programs on library computers.

Reservations for computer access may be made by contacting the library by phone (250-265-3363) or email us at contact@nakusplibrary.ca.

Computers are also available at the CAP Site free of charge.

Free wireless internet is also available to people with laptops or handheld devices.

Printing

A printer is available. A fee for printing will be charged and must be paid for at the conclusion of the session.

Photocopying

A photocopy machine is available to patrons who wish to copy materials with the current fee posted in the library.
Those using the photocopying machine will be advised that there are restrictions on copyrighted materials.

0.25/copy 8 1/2 x 11(14) black and white

0.50 for colour
Add an additional .10 for double-sided copies
Nakusp Public Library will adhere to Canadian copyright laws. (See Appendix III.)
