River Captured The Nakusp Library and Arrow Lakes Historical Society are pleased to welcome Eileen Pearkes, author of A River Captured. A River Captured explores the controversial history of the Columbia River Treaty and its impact on the ecosystems, indigenous peoples, contemporary culture, provincial politics and recent history of southeastern British Columbia and the Pacific NorthwestEileen will be reading excerpts from her book as Kyle presents a fascinating historic slide show.  This event will be taking place in the Archives.  Come to be engaged, amazed, and educated.
